Indigenous Education Partnership Program

Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc (Al-Pac) values the importance of education and continued learning. The purpose of the Indigenous Education Partnership Program is to encourage and assist members of our Indigenous communities in pursuit of post-secondary educational goals and opportunities. Consideration will be given to applicants who meet scholarship criteria and accept the conditions that are outlined in this package.

Value: Full tuition for up to 3-5 years

Eligibility and Criteria:

Applicants must be:

  • Indigenous peoples (First Nation, Inuit, and Metis) who have maintained residence within the Forest Management Area (FMA) or sphere of influence, for at least one year prior to applying for this scholarship.
  • Provide proof of status
  • Proof of full-time enrollment in a degree or diploma program in an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and outlook
  • Demonstrate community involvement
  • Include a 500-word essay that outlines their chosen field as well as their potential for success
  • A minimum of 3 positive references
