This is a Master's Bursary offered in memory of His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh is provided by the Alberta Provincial Chapter of IODE.
The award is intended for graduate students enrolled in a Master's Degree Program within an Alberta-based University. The award is intended to support students registered in thesis-based programs, consideration may be extended to those in course-based Master's provided there is a specific description of how the MA relates to future employment plans.

Deadline: March 31 (late applications will not be considered)
Eligibility:
Applicant must be:
- the second year of a thesis-based Master's program within an Alberta university
- consideration may be extended to those in a course-based Master's provided there is a specific description of how the MA relates to future employment plans.
- an Alberta resident for at least 12 months.
Supporting Documents:
- Summarize in 250 words or less the topic of your thesis and research and how it is important in lay terms.
- Summarize in 250 words or less your graduate work to date e.g. courses completed, studies, peer-reviewed publications, as well as any volunteer activities.
- Summarize in 250 words or less of your future plans
- Transcripts (undergraduate, and current up-to-date)
- Two reference letters, with one from your academic advisor
