| Day 23 — November 7, 2006 — Zanzibar to Nairobi, Kenya | |||||||
| We left the resort earlier than planned in order to have time for some last minute shopping in Stone Town. As soon as we stepped out on the street we had a new friend who wanted to guide us through the shopping area. We darted into a shop on our own but he was waiting for us when we came out. It took us quite awhile but we finally convinced him we could do it on our own. We soon found trying to look on your own own was just not in the cards and we escaped back to the Serena Inn
For lunch we tried a Pizza place around the corner then making our way back to the hotel discovered a gigantic spider colony attached to the outside wall of the Serena. It seemed to be a tourist attraction but we were quite glad we hadn't noticed it before staying at the Inn. |

| Winding down the narrow streets we left for the airport and after a somewhat long wait were off to Nairobi. As a final treat we were able to capture Mount Kilimanjaro peeking above the clouds as the sun set. | |||||||
