CONNOLLY Philip Harrison, son of the late Brig. General Charles E and Mrs. Helen (Harrison) Connolly, beloved husband of Eileen, father of Brian (Jeanette), Kathleen (Jim) and Tim (Elena), grandfather of Liam, Emily and Neil, plus several honourary grandchildren, passed away Saturday March 20, 2004 after a brief illness.

Born in 1927, Phil studied library science at the University of Toronto, joining the library staff of Lethbridge Junior College in September of 1963. He was a founding member of the University of Lethbridge where he served as a librarian for about 20 years, moving to B.C. in 1989. While living in Lethbridge, Phil ran unsuccessfully in the 1988 federal election as a Reform Party candidate. A memorial service to celebrate his life took place at St. James Anglican Church, 2150 Departure Bay Road, Nanaimo, on Thursday, March 25, 2004.
