Passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2003, at the age of 67 years, Dr. Paul Donovan Lewis of Readymade, beloved husband of Dr. Margaret Lewis.

Dr. Lewis was a Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge. He was born in Seattle, WA, March 11, 1936, the only child of Dr. Paul Donovan Lewis, Sr. and Virginia Thrall Lewis. He graduated with his B.Sc. from Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA; h's M.Sc. from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL; and his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE. Dr. Lewis was a Professor of Biology (Parasitology) from 1967, when the University of Lethbridge opened, until his retirement in 1996.

Paul was well known for his prize-winning photographs and llamas and his love of antique automobiles. He was the President of the University of Lethbridge Retired Faculty Association and an active member of the Southern Alberta Environmental Group, the Lethbridge Photographic Society, and the Chief Mountain Llama and Alpaca Club. He was a strong supporter of environmentally responsible agriculture. Dr. Lewis was a mentor and inspiration to his family, students, colleagues and friends.
