About the Program
Dive into the rich history of Japan while exploring Nagasaki with Nagasaki University's School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences summer program. Spend 16 days learning from the program's theme "Learning in/of Nagasaki." The program is built about three sub-themes: Peace and Nuclear Abolition, History and Cultural Exchange with Mainland Asia, and Hidden Christianity. Go on multiple excursions to the Atomic Bomb Museum, various shrines and temples, and much more.

The estimated program fee of JPY 312,230 (approx. $2,825) includes the University of Nagasaki's course fee, accommodations, and activities/excursions.
The program fee listed was for 2023, and is subject to change for 2024.
Not Included in Program Fee
The estimated program fee does not include U of L tuition for one course, travel between Canada and Japan, and other living/personal expenses such as food.

Global Skills Opportunity Funding
Domestic undergraduate students who participate in this summer program will receive up to $5,000 through the Global Skills Opportunity Award.
Underrepresented students: up to $5,000
- Indigenous students
- Students with a disability
- Low income students (receiving government student loans or grants)
All other eligible students: up to $2,500
