The English Language Institute is happy to announce that the Fall 2022 EAP Completion Scholarship has been awarded to Roman Pirus. Roman was nominated by his instructors for demonstrated academic achievement in his overall grades in each component of his final semester of the EAP program (Communication and Reading and Writing). Roman has met his English Language Proficiency requirement through completion of the Advanced EAP program and is working towards his Bachelor of Management in Marketing here at the Dhillon School of Business.

I came to Lethbridge in the fall of 2021 to study English for Academic Purposes because I want to study business with a major in marketing. Thanks to this course, I learned a lot about using communication skills correctly, writing academic essays, and more. I plan to study marketing at the University of Lethbridge. In the future, I plan to study the Japanese language, because thanks to the EAP course, I got to know the culture of Japan and the language, which captivated me with its complexity and interest. All new students who want to study under the EAP program should not be afraid to ask for help if they have questions or difficulties at the International Center; your language partners will always help you.
