What is Vibe Fest?

For one night only, the doors of the University Centre for the Arts will be open to the community to showcase the talent and artistry of Fine Arts students, alumni, staff and faculty. 

The Vibe Festival (Vibe Fest) promises a playful, immersive celebration of contemporary art, performance and creative technologies. Running from 7 - 11 p.m. on April 12, 2025, the Faculty of Fine Arts Vibe Fest will feature a free, all-access community arts celebration.

“Vibe Fest is an opportunity to celebrate the innovative work our students, alumni, staff and faculty create,” says Faculty of Fine Arts Dean, Dr. Heather Davis-Fisch. “Attendees will experience the full scope of emerging contemporary art practice in southern Alberta and can immerse themselves in interactive and participatory experiences including installations, performances, live music, soundscapes, film and digital media.”

Artist Leah Evans (BFA - Art '24) creates the focal point of Vibe Fest

Fine Arts alumna Leah Evans is the festival's featured artist, with her painting, Mirrored Image of My Mother, serving as the focal point.

Sign up to be a Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to help with event setup, strike, wayfinding, tour guides, and registration. If this seems of interest to you, please register using the link below and our team will be in contact with you to find out some more information--including your t-shirt size because you'll get an official Chancellor's Crew T-Shirt for volunteering at this event (and a bunch of other cool little perks, too!)

Costumed Volunteer

The University of Lethbridge Theatre Department is looking for volunteers to be dressed in costume by the incredibly talented theatre tech staff in the wardrobe department. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the festival's wayfinding and question answering--register using the link below. Space is limited to 10 volunteers. Selected volunteers will be contacted by technicians to come in for measurements and costume fittings. There are no limitations to size/shape/gender/ability for this volunteer position, all University students are welcome to apply.
