Program details
Supply chain involves managing the entire network of organizations and people involved in the creation of products and their delivery to intermediate and end consumers. Whether materials and products need to be moved 10 miles or a 10,000 miles, individuals with knowledge of technology, contracts, negotiations, marketing, risk management, operations, accounting, and finance are needed to ensure materials and products are sourced and moved efficiently and sustainably.
With Canada and Alberta’s need to efficiently export and synchronize with a global economy, the need for supply chain professionals is great. The stresses on the economy from the recent pandemic and current conflicts around the world have made supply chain expertise even more topical. Professionals with training in this area continue to be critical for dealing with the resulting turmoil to ensure supplies are available to manufacturers, consumers, and wholesalers.
Please note: This program is open to domestic students only.
Benefits of the integrated program include:
- a one-time application and a seamless integration between Bow Valley College and the University of Lethbridge to obtain your supply chain diploma and degree in business;
- both the depth of training in the high-demand area of supply chain management and the breadth of general business competencies sought after in a bachelor’s degree;
- access to optional paid work terms through co-operative education;
- work-integrated-learning in supply chain management that could include field placement, service learning or a capstone project; and
- a number of the courses needed to acquire their Supply Chain Management Professional designation from Supply Chain Canada.
