Pronghorn student-athletes earn Academic All-Canadian awards

A total of 44 student-athletes representing Pronghorn Athletics have been recognized as Academic All-Canadians by Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).

Every year, the CIS honours student-athletes who excel in sport at the university level while maintaining an 80 per cent or greater average in academics.

The Pronghorns women's rugby team led the way with 11 student-athletes earning Academic All-Canadian honours.

Achieving Academic All-Canadian status is an outstanding accomplishment given the amount of time student-athletes commit to training, practising, travelling and competing. Routinely, Pronghorn Athletics possesses an above average number of Academic All-Canadian recipients in the CIS, when considering the number of overall athletes at each school. The 44 Pronghorn athletes honoured this year account for more than 20 per cent of the school's student-athletes.

Following is the list of Pronghorn athletes who are recognized as CIS Academic All Canadians for 2012-13.
