Tanner LaPointe
Tanner Lapointe is a performer, teacher, and conductor who holds both a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education. Over the years, he has brought a wide range of characters to life across opera and musical theatre, with notable roles including The Duke of Plaza Toro (The Gondoliers), Figaro (The Barber of Seville), The Count Almaviva (The Marriage of Figaro), Papageno (The Magic Flute), Le Dancaire (Carmen), and Singer 4 (Transformations), among others.
Tanner's first major solo performance was at the age of 12, when he performed as a boy soprano in Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicholas. Since then, he has been a featured soloist in major works including Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, and selections from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. He continues to be a frequent performer across Alberta and British Columbia in both staged and concert works.
As a teacher, Tanner enjoys working with students of all abilities and interests, helping them discover and nurture their passion for singing. He is passionate about the connection between identity and singing in all singers, particularly in the context of the changing male voice. In addition to his performing and teaching, Tanner plays an active role in his community by organizing music events and concerts for local non-profits, and he is an avid collaborator with choral ensembles and theatre companies.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Tanner is a Diet Coke fan who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. He is also frequents local markets and craft fairs, often participating as both a vendor and a guest.

- 30-Minute Lessons: $116 (Monthly) or $928 (Lump Sum)
- 45-Minute Lessons: $174 (Monthly) or $1,392 (Lump Sum)
- 60 Minute Lessons: $232 (Monthly) or $1,856 (Lump Sum)
*The above lump sum ranges are based on 32 weeks of lessons over the course of September - May, but can be pro-rated for students starting late in the term.
