The 2024-25 Young Artists Music Academy (YAMA) is an intensive, enriching performance-based program available to teenaged classical strings players, guitarists, percussionists, pianists, vocalists, as well as woodwind and brass players. It includes several activities per week that aim to expand the awareness, skills and experiences of the classical musician. This program will optimize the success of our most dedicated and gifted young musicians.

This is an intensive program! The program includes a specifically designed schedule that will meet your musical needs. If you live and breathe music, and are dedicated to building your musical skills, this program will do just that, and more.

If you have plans to pursue music after highschool, this program will give you the essential skills you will need to be successful in University. You will study with the best musicians in the city; our faculty are highly trained professionals from the University of Lethbridge Department of Music and local distinguished musicians. In addition, we will bring in guest artists from other areas to work with you.

If you love the challenge of performing, or if you need to work on your performance practice, this program would be perfect for you. There will be recitals scheduled both at Casa, and in the U of L Recital Hall on campus.
