LevMax-Health Fall 2022
This opportunity seeks to leverage high-quality, Alberta-based applications from Tri-agency competitions to advance Digital Health in Alberta.
Tri-agency includes Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) as well as CIHR Institutes.
This specific funding opportunity has four thematic areas for consideration:

Research

Commercialization

Health System Transformation
LevMax-Health Program objectives are to:

Support research and innovation clients in Alberta to advance Digital Health.

Leverage partner relationships to advance Digital Health innovation in Alberta.

Increase the number of projects using real-world data to develop Digital Health technologies.
Project Eligibility
*The LevMax competition is not open to individual scholarship or fellowship applications submitted by graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.*
Projects must:

Align with the objectives of the LevMax-Health Program.

The Nominated Principal Applicant must be based in Alberta.

Have applied to a Tri-agency competition within a specified date (see below) and met eligibility but have been deemed unsuccessful.

An application must have competition scores and peer review comments.

Top-ups or supplemental prizes are not eligible for funding.

Application Process
If you have received results from a Tri-agency competition from April 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022, then the following dates apply:

Application Deadline: November 18, 2022

Anticipated Notice of Decision: Early December 2022

Funding Start Date: Mid-February 2023
