IMPACT's primary objective is to provide students with tangible skills to become educators. In our IMPACT workshop, grad students will learn how to effectively design a class, develop comprehensive syllabi, organize a strategic lesson plan and identify fundamental class management techniques to teach a course in their field of study. We have also added a new Module. Module 5 on AI-powered technology in teaching and learning. The program is divided into five modules, each divided into two sessions. The first session will focus on concept, theory, and discussion-based learning, while the second will focus on application and development.
Throughout the workshop, participants can collaborate and interact in hands-on activities using AI-powered technology, such as ChatGPT and other models, to identify possible opportunities and capabilities of this technology to be adapted in their teaching and assessment strategies. The main objective is to provide participants with practical and relevant strategies that can be applied to their current teaching processes or future courses.
