ID card Uses
A Student Identification Card is Their Indentification!
The University ID card is used as your students primary identification to show that they have active status within the University of Lethbridge Community. It provides them with access to services and events, swipe access to secured areas and dedicated rooms for specialized courses, and manages their Dining Plan funds and their Bridge Bucks funds.
Lethbridge Transit UPass
As of September 1, 2018 the U of L ID card is used for your Lethbridge Transit UPass. This was ratified by the students in 2018 and now all eligible students automatically have a Lethbridge Transit bus pass on thier new ID card (any ID card printed after June 2018). This new ID card can be used for full access to the Lethbridge Transit bus system.

What are Bridge Bucks?
Bridge Bucks is a safe and convenient method of transacting goods and services at the University of Lethbridge. Your students money is deposited in a central account and their University ID Card is used as a debit card to access these dollars. No banking fees are associated with using this debit card feature. Using their ID card as a form of payment gets them through the checkout line fast with no PIN to enter and no chance for error.
If your student is planning on using the University of Lethbridge Follow-You Printing service in the ITS Student Computer Labs or the Library Computer, they will need their ID card as well as Bridge Bucks funds.
Bridge Bucks are left on their account until the next academic year and carried forward year after year provided they have an active University ID Card. Bridge Bucks are not redeemable for cash.
