Program description
Our post-diploma Bachelor of Health Sciences in Public Health (Health Leadership minor) will help you build on your existing health-related diploma education and work experience by adding an appreciation for population health, including health policy and promotion, while adding skills in health research, program evaluation and leadership. This exciting new program is offered on our Calgary Campus with evening and weekend classes, and via traditional delivery on our Lethbridge Campus.

International Applicants: Please be advised that due to the blended nature of this program, graduates may not be eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit after completing this program depending on the proportion of courses delivered online. The number of courses offered via online delivery may vary and exceed 50% of the program for some students. In addition to the general admission requirements, applicants to the Public Health Post-Diploma program must have completed an Approved College Diploma and have a minimum diploma GPA of 3.00 on the University of Lethbridge 4.00 scale. If you are considering applying to the program with a diploma GPA below 3.00 (but not less than 2.00), you may be considered for admission if you have extensive practical experience in a relevant field.
Ideal diplomas may include pharmacy technician, practical nurse, massage therapist, paramedic, respiratory therapist, social work, laboratory technician, exercise science, and community health promotion​. The Faculty of Health Sciences will also consider other health or human services diplomas on a case-by-case basis.
All applicants to the Faculty of Health Sciences must meet a Spoken English Language Proficiency requirement.
