Research Interests

My research addresses various contextual factors that spur creativity and innovation within established small and medium sized enterprises and large firms, as well as that encourage entrepreneurial pursuits through new venture creation. A key focus of my work is to analyze the role of actors' emancipatory motivation (i.e., the desire to overcome and remove constraints and to create change) in these new initiatives.
