Rebekah has had a diverse career all across Canada. She has worked as an English as a Second Language teacher, with women in conflict with the law, in community development (in Canada and overseas), in refugee resettlement, in research, and in churches. Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology and Comparative Literature, while her Masters is from Wilfried Laurier in religion and theology. She enjoys academia, receiving the Governor General's Gold Medal for her graduate work, and yet also believes academics is at its best when exercised in the real world. She hopes her humour and passion assist her teaching, but also help her to learn from her students.
