About Me

Teaching: My interest in tax policy began decades ago, and as such I welcome my role in teaching the faculty's 'Introductory and Advanced Taxation' courses and the opportunity to discuss a variety of tax topics with my students. I also teach the 'Dual Credit' course, 'Management Systems and Connections' to high school students/aspiring university students who are learning not only a set of management and systems skills, but also the tools necessary to transition to university.

Research: I have always been fascinated by scientific systems and their interactions with society and its many systems. As such, my research interests include environmental tax policy, systems science, socio-ecological and economic systems, sustainable supply chains, and the water-energy-food nexus.

Other: When not teaching and researching, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets. My other interests include travelling, the outdoors, reading, writing, renovating, and developing small business ventures.
