Biography

Doug MacArthur is a professional actor and voice teacher. He has participated in numerous stage productions in Canada and the United States (Mass Appeal, Not About Heroes, Bankrupt!, Sure Thing, Digital Cosmetics, Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, and Antigone). He graduated from York University with an MFA in Acting along with a Voice Teaching Diploma under the supervision of David Smukler. During the spring of 2000 and 2001 he worked as an associate faculty member at the Canadian National Voice Intensive and is now teaching voice and speech here at The University of Lethbridge.

Doug is also the producer, director and co-founder of the independent theatre company, The Third Eye Collective. He was instrumental in the creation of the Samish Island Festival of Arts in Washington State and returns each year to share his passion for acting and voice at the festival as a guest instructor.
