Lazenby, Corie

Corie has spent most of her career with the University serving the Faculty of Management as Executive Officer, where among other things, she skillfully manages the Faculty's Executive Committee, Salary, Tenure and Promotion Committee, and the implementation of the F of M's strategic plan. Corie is an excellent "sounding board" for the Faculty's Deans and for individual faculty members as she's worked with five F of M Deans since she began. She possesses a lot of history, and can always be called upon to offer meaningful perspective on the multitude of issues and dilemmas that arise.

Her infectious laugh can be regularly heard in the Dean's office and in the hallways of Markin Hall as she jokes with her many colleagues and injects humour into the day-to-day. Corie is very creative and delights us all with her talents in a variety of ways: initiating interesting professional development opportunities including a pottery retreat for staff, making quilts and scrapbooks for special F of M occasions and people, initiating and participating in a book club involving F of M faculty and staff, and in her appreciation for fine food and celebrating together.

Corie is a busy mom of 2 young, cute-as-a-button children: Aidan and Aylish; she manages a full-time career, is an avid gardener, and just recently completed her Master of Science (Management) degree.
