WHinE
WHinE (Working with Humans in Experiments) is a research group for people interested in the psychology of human behavior and the use of experimental methods to understand that behavior. We welcome undergraduates, postgraduates, post docs, and professors from across campus but our sessions are particularly geared towards those in the Department of Psychology. We host a variety of sessions each semester including presentations about psychology research (often from faculty and postgraduates in the Department), discussions of topics of interest such as specific research methods, job applications, potential research areas, etc., and workshops on skills (e.g., social media for researchers).
BEERS
BEERS is an Animal Behaviour research group, comprising undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, and professors from several labs in the departments of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Biology. At our meetings, we discuss a variety of topics in animal behaviour, as well as our own research. Refreshments are provided by PsYence Publishing[1].
PoP
PoP (PsYence of Psychology) is a reading and discussion group that is open to all undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty who are interested in reading about and discussing popular topics in psychology. Each semester we select a book, podcast, or documentary to read, listen, or watch and discuss. As an adjunct to the discussion group, we try to bring in speakers who are exerts on the topics we are discussing.
Psychology Seminar
Researchers and practitioners in Psychology and adjacent disciplines discuss their work and answer questions from the audience. All students and faculty are welcome to attend (no advanced notice required). The Psychology Seminar is supported by The Department of Psychology, PsYence Publishing, and The Psychology Club.
