The Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group (LPIRG) will be holding its Annual General Meeting tonight, 7 p.m. in the University of Lethbridge's Galileo's Gallery (SU242).
LPIRG is a student-funded, student-directed, non-profit organization providing resources for students to engage with environmental and social justice issues. LPIRG provides funding for undergraduate research, projects, events and working groups in the public interest. LPIRG also facilitates opportunities for skills development through educational events, public campaigns and partnerships with community organizations.
All undergrad students who have not had their LPIRG fee refunded are members of LPIRG and are therefore invited and encouraged to attend the AGM. Following a short business meeting where a financial report will be presented, there will be refreshments, entertainment and presentations on all the public interest projects that LPIRG funded in the past year.
