The deadline is approaching for students to apply for scholarships or awards for next year.

All students who are returning to study at the University of Lethbridge in September 2010 need to apply for scholarships or awards by May 1. The application is available through the Bridge, under the Registrar's Office & Student Services tab.

Applying for student awards has been shown to be very worthwhile. Last year, over half of the students who submitted an application received an award with values ranging from $500 to $5,000, with the average award being $1,200.

Students are encouraged to not count themselves out, as not all scholarships and awards are based solely on academic standing. There are a number of awards for community involvement, international placements, financial need, artistic excellence and other attributes.
