A group of University of Lethbridge residence assistants earned first and third place awards at the Residence Life Professional Association Lead Conference in Nordegg, Alta. recently.
Residence assistants Shannon Booth, Rebecca Bouchard, Liisa Kleemola, Riley Miller Rio Pisony and communications manager Jerrim Rushka made up the U of L team that attended the Oct. 22-24 conference. More than a dozen post-secondary institutions from Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan attended and competed in three judged categories. The competition categories included Institutional Citizenship, Case Competition Analysis and Program Presentation.
Delegates from the U of L placed first in the Institutional Citizenship classification and third in Case Competition Analysis. The competition was adjudicated by a panel of judges from across Western Canada and peer institution nominations. The Residence Life Professional Association sponsors the annual leadership conference to promote excellence and leadership in the field of Residence Life.
