Bust the Backpack

Papers, pencils, glue and scissors are all basic items that students need to thrive in the classrom. Unfortunately not every family can provide these for their children. The University of Lethbridge's Education Undergraduate Society (EUS) is looking to help.

From now until Oct. 28, EUS is collecting unused school supplies to be distributed to students in need throughout southern Alberta. Last year, EUS was able to fill 44 backpacks and purchase two graphing calculators from the supplies and cash donations received. This year, they are looking to surpass this total and continue to alleviate some of the challenges schools face.

Donations to this program can be dropped off at the EUS office (TH368A), or to The Gap, where those who donate will receive a 30 per cent off coupon for all regular priced items.
