Non-refundable Application and Registration Fees

a.Application for Admission to Credential Programs

Application for Admission to Credential Programs Applicants for admission to the University of Lethbridge pay a non-refundable application fee, as follows:

Domestic (applicants who are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada): $125

International (applicants who are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada): $150

All domestic applicants who have previously submitted an Application for Admission to a level of studies (e.g. graduate or post-graduate) will also pay the application fee (as listed above) for subsequent applications to the same level of studies.

All international applicants who have previously submitted an Application for Admission to a level of studies (e.g. graduate or post-graduate) will also pay the application fee of (as listed above) for subsequent applications to the same level of studies.

b.Registration for Open Studies

Students who wish to enrol in courses without being admitted to a program are called Open Studies students. To register for Open Studies, students must pay a non-refundable $60 registration fee each term they wish to register in courses. For more information, see Registration, Open Studies Student.

c.Challenged/Fraudulent Payments

The integrity of the admission process is dependent on the honesty of the applicant. Where there is evidence that an applicant or student has completed their application fee or tuition deposit payments in a fraudulent manner, the University reserves the right to revoke admission and registration, according to the following procedures:

1.Should the University determine that the alleged offence(s) have occurred, the Manager of Admissions will provide the applicant or student with a letter of reprimand and place a copy in the student’s official file, and may take any or all of the following additional actions:

a.Revoke the applicant or student’s admission status and/or registration privileges, up to and including immediate and permanent dismissal from the University.

b.Disqualify the applicant or student from future consideration for admission for a definite or indefinite period of time.

c.Notify other educational institutions regarding particulars of the incident.

2.The applicant or student will have seven working days after the date of the letter in which to appeal in writing to the Registrar. In the absence of an appeal received by the Registrar within the seven-day period, the Manager of Admissions will action the penalties outlined in the letter of reprimand.
