This course covers problem solving techniques and the application of the creative process to help develop new products, services, and processes. Topics covered will include models of innovation; means to foster and manage creativity and innovation in others; creativity tools; design thinking; and practical problem-solving and decision-making methods. Basic concepts related to copyright, patents, and trademarks for protecting intellectual property in Canada will also be reviewed.

This course explores team dynamics and how to foster high performing teams; personality style and team roles; and apply team planning tools and strategies. Values, expectations, and assumptions will be examined to aid in development of intercultural competencies and improve communication.
