Jo and Anne Vanee Memorial Award - Dhillon School of Business

The Jo and Anne Vanee Memorial Award was established in 2017 by Joyce Sakamoto and Bonnie Jarokosky in honor of their parents. The award recognizes a student in the Dhillon School of Business that embodies a spirit of compassion, kindness and volunteerism in support of fellow students.

To be eligible for this award, Dhillon School of Business students must meet the criteria listed below:

    • Returning to full-time studies in the Fall 2024 term.
    • Academic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA) in the previous Fall/Spring terms.
    • Demonstrated commitment to compassion, kindness and voluntarism in support of fellow students.
    • Can be in any Dhillon School of Business undergraduate or graduate program.
    • Selection is based on the applicant’s CV, complete academic record, and a letter of support from a student peer or faculty member.

This award of $1,500 (minimum) will be payable upon confirmation of full-time enrolment in classes at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall and Spring semesters following the granting of the award. A selection committee will be established by the Dean of the Dhillon School of Business.

To apply, submit your application through the University of Lethbridge Bridge portal. Click ‘Student’ then ‘Apply for uLethbridge Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries’. Complete the general application. This award can be found under recommended opportunities.
