Get your taxes done for FREE!

Filing taxes can be a very confusing and intimidating process. For numerous students, this may be the first time that they will have ever been required to do so. Rather than doing your taxes yourself this year, you can get them done for free on campus by trained volunteers.

Trained Dhillon School of Business and Accounting Club students (volunteering with the Canada Revenue Agency) will be offering a free tax service to students and others who qualify for the program.

This is a unique program that will allow students to gain practical experience doing taxes while at the same time helping their fellow students. All of the volunteers are trained by CRA, and this program is completely free. Taxes filed will be immediately e-filed.

Please note that this program is only for a simple income tax returns and earn less than $35,000\year\person. If they meet the previous requirements, community members are also eligible for the program.

Those who have earnings over $35,000, business returns, capital gains, or foreign income will not be eligible for this program.

At your time of appointment, please have ready your personal identification, Notice of Assessment, all employment income slips (T4’s), any RRSP contributions, tuition slips (T2202A), and any other tax information that you may have received over the year.
