We are very excited to make the PUBlic Professor Series available to everyone in the comfort of their own homes. We encourage everyone to have fun with this, prepare some appetizers, pour themselves a beverage of their choice and tune into PUBlic Professor Series: At Home.
Join us on Facebook at 7pm on Thursday, June 18, 2020!
We recently caught up with associate professor, Dr. Amy Shaw to find out how her research has evolved since her PUBlic Professor Series talk in 2018. In this video, Dr. Shaw is interviewed by associate professor Dr. Lynn Kennedy, also from the Department of History. The historians engage in conversation about Canadians in the South African War, bodies in the 19th century, and citizens in wartime and pandemics.
This Q&A session will appear on Facebook Premiere @ulethbridge on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm. Viewers will be able to like, share and comment in real-time. The video will be saved and posted to Facebook so anyone unable to watch the Premiere live can view it at a more convenient time. All PUBlic Professor Series videos are also uploaded to YouTube.
This video is part of PUBlic Professor Series: At Home, where we catch up with speakers from the past six years, as well as learn about some of our upcoming speakers. We may be at home, but we can still stay connected through our shared love of lifelong learning.
