Sonic Portals: Haunted Train Tour Unveiled
Art NOW series featuring Zoë Laycock
March 19 | noon | University Recital Hall
Free admission, all are welcome

In this artist talk, Sonic Portals: Haunted Train Tour Unveiled, Zoë Laycock discusses their journey across Turtle Island and her shift from “capturing” to “gathering” media through field recordings for her immersive installation work.

This work traverses’ relationships to spirits of place and temporality by enacting a methodology of reciprocity and acknowledgement of the seen and unseen.

Zoë Laycock (Anishinaabe/Métis) is an interdisciplinary artist engaging with haunting, ancestral connection, and alternative modes of communication through an interdimensional place-based practice.
