The University of Lethbridge expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lipamaqnihkiaaki (Singing Across Water) Lois Frank, who passed away Feb. 12, 2025, at the age of 69.
Frank and her family are connected deeply to the University of Lethbridge, with multiple family members having graduated from or worked for the University. Frank herself taught at ULethbridge as an academic assistant from 1998 through 2008 and also worked as a sessional lecturer from 1999 through 2022.
A wake will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 2825 – 32 St. S., Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martha's Catholic Church , 355 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. with Father William Monis celebrating.
The University will lower its flag in honour of Frank on Thursday, Feb. 20.
