Dear Colleagues,

The Career Bridge office is now collecting applications for Canada Summer Jobs 2025 (CSJ) positions. Those interested in hiring a student(s) under the CSJ program need to send a completed application form (which must be opened/saved with Adobe Acrobat) to career.services@uleth.ca no later than noon on December 17, 2024 (see CSJ guide and application form, attached). Kindly share this information with anyone who might be interested in applying for the wage subsidy. For additional details on CSJ, please refer to the information below.

Canada Summer Jobs Program

CSJ is a program under the CRA Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, designed to offer flexible and holistic services. The goal is to assist all young Canadians in developing skills and gaining paid work experience, enabling a successful transition into the labor market.

Highlights:

  • The program provides wage subsidies for summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
  • Each position approval can expect between $1,800 to $4,200 in funding.
  • CSJ can be stacked with other sources of funding.

Additional Details:

  • Applications are due by noon on December 17th, 2024.
  • Funding confirmations will be sent to employers starting in April 2025.
  • The job must start between April 22nd, 2025, and July 20th, 2025.
  • The job must end before August 30th, 2025.
  • International students are not eligible for CSJ.

Applicants will be notified by Career Bridge about the status of their application once funding notifications are received in April 2025.

Please note Career Bridge will only be responsible for submitting the initial application, informing you of your approved funding, and submitting a final report on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring that funding requirements for your position(s) are met.
