The Vice-President (Research) is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Board of Governors Research Chair (BoGRC) program. In this call, there are up to 6 BoGRC positions available with two appointments in each of the following areas:
- health disciplines;
- natural and physical sciences; and
- social sciences, humanities, and fine arts
Eligibility for appointment will adhere to the Canada Research Chair Tier I program selection criteria. Candidates will be assessed on their accomplishments, track records, student mentorship/supervision experience, and commitment to EDI and Indigenization. Appointments will be made for a five year term effective July 1, 2025.
BoGRCs are intended to recognize and leverage established researchers’ exceptional research performance and impact. Applicants must have a distinguished record of internationally recognized research or creative activity, progressive success with competitive and peer reviewed research funding, a strong record of adjudicated public and scholarly dissemination, as well as an outstanding record of research or creative activity leadership and mentorship in their field of expertise.
Applications should be submitted electronically, with the subject “BoGRC Application” to ORIS (oris@uleth.ca) by February 10, 2025.
