Prepare to be swept away by the captivating sounds of the University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Holly De Caigny, as they take the stage on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre.
Comprising approximately 65 talented students, the ULethbridge Wind Orchestra is an auditioned ensemble that boasts a diverse mix of music majors and students from various disciplines. With a passion for musical excellence, the orchestra, under the guidance of Dr. Holly De Caigny, has become a dynamic force on campus and beyond.
The orchestra's active performance schedule includes four on-campus concerts and notable appearances at the Fall and Spring Convocations. Additionally, their annual tour showcases their commitment to bringing exceptional wind music to diverse audiences.
The program hosts an engaging evening of wind band compositions, including A Mother of a Revolution by Omar Thomas, Peace Dancer by Jodie Blackshaw, Watchman Tell Us of the Night by Mark Camphouse, and Shadows Ablaze by Kathryn Salfelder. This diverse selection not only highlights the ensemble's versatility but also provides a platform for the students, many of whom are aspiring music educators, to master the performance of quality compositions critical to their success.

Tickets are $20 adult, $15 alumni and senior, $10 student. ULethbridge students receive one complimentary ticket at the University Box Office with valid student ID.
