Condolence Notice — Jasminn Berteotti (BSc ’96)

The University of Lethbridge is extremely saddened to learn about the passing of Jasminn Berteotti (BSc ’96) on Friday, June 28 at the age of 50 and extends its sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

Berteotti was a dedicated ULethbridge employee who served as the Academic Director of the Career Bridge Centre for Work-Integrated Learning and Career Development. She was a passionate advocate for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs, especially cooperative education and applied studies, and worked tirelessly to support student success. She was instrumental in establishing a growing network of academic, community and industry partnerships.

After a 22-year career, Jasminn retired due to ongoing health concerns. The Jasminn Berteotti Award for Work-Integrated Learning was established at that time as a way to continue her work to support students in discovering joy through education and experience.

A celebration of life is being planned for September and the University will lower its flags that day in honour of Jasminn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to commemorate Jasminn to consider donating to the Jasminn Berteotti Award for Work-Integrated Learning.

This notice will be updated as more details become available.
