About the performers…
David Mikuliak, baritone, is a retired arts educator who lives in Lethbridge. He is currently a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge. Dave has a large and eclectic performing, directing and teaching resume. He has been intrigued and delighted to have the opportunity to rediscover the Songs of Travel, as this is a song cycle that he first performed 34 years ago.
Bente Hansen, piano, is an instructor in the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge. Beyond immense skill as a pianist and a musician, Bente creates an inclusive, positive and supportive classroom climate that engages learners. Always pursuing new challenges, Bente will perform the onstage role of “Jeanette” in Lethbridge Musical Theatre’s presentation of The Full Monty (late October/early November). Following that, Bente will be providing Orchestral Direction for the ULethbridge Mainstage production of Jesus Christ Superstar (March 2024).
Carson Froehlich, guitar, is a recent graduate of the BMus (Music) program at the University of Lethbridge. He is an acclaimed performer and is currently in the beginning stages of his graduate studies at ULethbridge.
Franz Faeldo, tenor, is a senior undergraduate student in the Department of Music at the University of Lethbridge. Franz is currently involved in a production of The Secret Garden (November 2023), is working toward his Graduation Recital (Spring 2024) and will be playing the title role (Jesus) in the ULethbridge Mainstage production of Jesus Christ Superstar (March 2024).
