In honor of Treaty 7 Day (Sept. 22) and as part of Truth & Reconciliation Week, we are pleased to have Elder In-Residence Shirlee Crow Shoe for a presentation on the history of Treaty 7.

Time: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: Iikaisskini (Low Horn) Gathering Centre (W650)

Light refreshments will be provided.

Treaty 7 is the last of the Numbered Treaties made between the Government of Canada and the Plains First Nations. It was signed on 22 September 1877 by five First Nations: the Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina (Sarcee).
