Step into a whimsical world where Dickens meets Seuss in A Seussified Christmas Carol by Peter Bloedel, brought to life on the University Theatre stage! Get ready for a theatrical adventure that's fun for all ages, where rhymes and laughter are the order of the day.

Mark your calendars for October 11 - 13 at 7:30pm and October 14 at 1:30pm at the University of Lethbridge Theatre. For just a dime (and a little more), you'll find yourself transported to a holiday wonderland straight from the whimsical mind of Dr. Seuss himself!

Director Ryan Reese, a proud alumnus of the University of Lethbridge (BFA Drama '13), invites you to join in the festivities. He shares, "I moved back to Lethbridge about a year ago, and as fortune would have it, the Department of Drama reached out to ask if I could direct A Seussified Christmas Carol."

This isn't your ordinary Christmas tale; it's a delightful fusion of Dickens and Seuss! Reese explains, "This is not a Seuss show; this is a Dickens show with Seuss characters in it! These Seuss characters try to mash their culture with the world of humans, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't."

Get ready for an extraordinary experience, "This is the biggest show I've worked on. It's a culmination of everything I've learned, including clowning and physical theatre. It was my goal for this cast to add lots of skills to their actor’s toolkit. I wanted them to explore and try new things,” Reese says. “The show demands we go big! The cast has been up for all the challenges. They are putting their hearts and bodies into all of it."

Tickets are available at the University Box Office, Monday - Friday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm, or online at ulethbridge.ca/tickets. Tickets are $18 regular, $13 seniors and alumni, and $12 for students and children. Plus, all University of Lethbridge students are eligible for a free ticket with their student ID at the Box Office.
