Music at Noon concert series presents: Dr. Sarah Chan, piano

Join us for the first Music at Noon concert of 2024 as we welcome visiting artist Dr. Sarah Chan to the concert stage for a solo piano recital. 

Sarah Chan has performed throughout America, Europe, and Asia, including at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Salle Cortot-Paris, Sala Atenu-Romania, Beifang Performing Arts Hall, and Ningxia Normal University Concert Hall. She has garnered awards including The American Prize in Piano Performance; 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholar Distinguished Teacher Award (given by the U.S. Presidential Commission of the U.S. Department of Education); 2022 California State University-Stanislaus Outstanding Professor Faculty Award; 2021 California State University-Stanislaus Outstanding Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Faculty Award; and the Award in Excellence in Teaching at the Eastman School of Music.

Dr. Chan currently serves as Lecturer in Music at Stanford University and as Associate Professor of Music at California State University, Stanislaus. She received her education at the Eastman School of Music (DMA), Paris Conservatory of Music, Peabody Conservatory of Music (MM), Manhattan School of Music (BM), and University of Michigan, Columbia University, and La Sorbonne.
