Living Library

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The University Library will be hosting a Living Library event to celebrate International Education Week and cultural diversity on our campus. The theme of the event is instead of borrowing a book; learn by talking to a real person, from our university community, and learn about their values/culture and experiences in international education. In this context, the Living Library fosters intercultural learning between students. They learn the benefits of diversity in academic settings and critical thinking. Our volunteers engage the university community in conversation during the event while sharing their cultural background and their exposure in international education. In information sharing sessions our participants need to be aware of the validity of the information they share.

This is an interactive event. In this event you can participate and share information about your background. You will be able to engage in conversation with our university community from various backgrounds. Students participating in this event will receive credit on their MyExperience Transcript. Please ensure that you register on the ULethbridge MyExperience platform if you plan to participate in this event. For any questions or inquiries, please e-mail Nanda at nanda.stannard@uleth.ca

We look forward to seeing you there!
