Helping researchers anticipate their audience and the context in which their applications will be read, Dr. Dan O’Donnell and Dr. Caroline Hodes will discuss their experience serving on SSHRC review committees. This workshop promises to offer valuable insights into the SSHRC adjudication process, providing strategies for tailoring grant applications to meet reviewer expectations and needs.

This workshop will provide guidance on writing to SSHRC review committees. Whether you are an early career or established researcher seeking to refine your skills, this workshop can help you.

- Gain insight into the SSHRC adjudication process.

- Learn grant writing and organizational techniques that will make your applications easier to read.  

- Craft compelling grant proposals that speak to multidisciplinary adjudication committees. 

- Learn best practices for writing to busy review committees.

Everyone is welcome to attend. While Dr. O’Donnell will share his experience serving on a Connection Grant merit review committee, and Dr. Hodes will share her experience serving on a Partnership Engage Grant merit review committee, they will provide insights and strategies that will be beneficial for grant writers applying to other SSHRC competitions.
