Agricultural research is mankind’s oldest form of organized research.

The purpose of agricultural research is to expand knowledge and improve technology. Through it, the standard of living we enjoy today is incomparably better than that of our ancestors. Researchers seek to discover procedures to increase livestock and crop yields, improve farmland productivity, reduce loss due to disease and insects, develop more efficient equipment and to increase overall food quality and safety.

In other words, they look for ways in which our ever-changing wants as final consumers can be satisfied more fully and more profitably with regard to what is produced, how, where, when, how often, and by whom.

Join Dr. Danny Le Roy and panelists Dr. Dena Martin and Dr. Mark Redmond as they discuss the essential roles research institutes and universities play in agriculture on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 5:30pm.

Panelists: Dr. Danny Le Roy, Dr. Dena Martin, Dr. Mark Redmond.
