presents:

"Cripping" Sex and Sexualities: Opportunities for Disruption and Transformation

Dr. Alan Santinele Martino

Tuesday October 15th 1:30-2:30pm, PE 261

Dr. Martino will share findings from his research conducted with 31 2SLGBTQ+ individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities across Alberta. Rather than adhering to conventional notions of sex and sexuality, his study illuminates how disabled individuals are actively reshaping these concepts. Central to his analysis are the lenses of crip and queer theory to offer more nuanced frameworks for understanding the complexities of sexuality and disability.
