In this presentation, Mr. Stephen Deppisch provides an examination into the development of building technologies and their use in six well known residences.
Stephen Deppisch has worked in the architectural realm for over 45 years. He holds an Honours Diploma in Architectural Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and further studies with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He began his career in Calgary where he developed drawings for West Edmonton Mall and Bromley Place, the tallest precast building in Canada.
He worked as senior technologist on several pavilions at Expo 86 and later created construction documents for the first 9 stations of the elevated Skytrain System in Vancouver.
Ater moving to Lethbridge, Stephen was involved in working drawings for the University of Lethbridge Students' Union Building and Student residences. He has also been involved with the Lethbridge College gymnasium, Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens kiosk and the Lethbridge Public Library addition. In 1989, Stephen became project manager for a series of new schools in Southern Alberta including: Coalhurst Elementary, Father Leonard Van Tighem, Dorothy Dagleish, Jenny Emery Elementary, R.I. Baker and Vulcan Middle school.
Stephen has over 30 years teaching experience at Lethbridge College where he continues to teach courses in Architectural Technology and Construction Management.
