The ensemble will perform symphonic works arranged for chamber formation by Mozart (Marriage of Figaro Overture), Beethoven (Emperor Piano Concerto), Brahms (Hungarian Dance No.5) and a selection of songs from operatic to modern and traditional.
The event is part of the Alberta Symphony Orchestra PROMO TOUR around Alberta. The Alberta Symphony Orchestra Society is a new non-profit organization based in Edmonton that is planning to found a new professional symphony orchestra in Alberta with the goal of touring around the Province performing both in major and smaller cities to support a long-term growth in the culture sector of classical music and music education.
Tickets are available at the University Box Office, Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 3:30pm.
