Destination Exploration — 2016 Science & Technology Camps

Three camps are in session this week:

Leaders in Training

Youngsters aged 13 to 16 receive training and experience in becoming future community leaders. Along with first aid certification and safety orientation, participants also complete a week-long practicum during one of the science camp weeks.

Mad Scientists

Children aged five to seven will gain scientific skills through hands-on activities, experiments, games and crafts.

Codemakers: Tech-Makers

This camp for eight- to 11-year-olds delves into electronics, robotics and 3-D printing, with an emphasis on using and learning practical skills to build, design, create and program

Westside Farmer’s Market

Thursday, July 7, 3 to 6 p.m., Parking Lot R, just off Parkway Road

This year’s farmer’s markets get underway Thursday on campus at a new location in Lot R close to the Mount Blakiston House residences.
