About
Jenna Lowe joined the Faculty in 2016, after 14 years in public schools, primarily as a high school English Language Arts teacher in rural settings. A passionate supporter and amateur practitioner of multiple arts, Jenna also taught visual art, drama, film studies and various media options. While she is currently continuing her own learning through doctoral studies and research in language and literacy learning, she is primarily interested in teacher development/training and is deeply committed to her role as an Instructor.
Teaching Interests
With a professional philosophy rooted in arts-based practices and a strong interest for inter-related, multi-modal and transmedia literacies, Jenna’s instruction of pre-service teachers is often geared at developing their capacities by approaching teaching itself as an art.
