Dear Professional Semester II Students:
In follow up to your recent response to indicate your intent to complete PS II/III in the Fall 2022 term, we ask that you please complete the enclosed PS II/PS III Student Information Form which will provide useful information to coordinate your combined practicum and internship placement.
1. Please complete this form no later than Monday, April 4, 2022.
2. Professional Semester II/III will be available in our regular Zone 6 placement areas, OR in Out of Zone locations. Students requesting an Out of Zone location MUST submit their Out of Zone request forms no later than April 4, 2022.
- Out of Zone practicum locations include any areas outside Zone 6, such as Calgary and area, distant rural towns, central, or northern Alberta or out of province locations).
- If you will be completing your PS II/III practicum in southern Alberta, NO additional forms are necessary after you complete this questionnaire.
3. PS III Internship options that are normally available in the Fall semester are still available for the PS II/III practicum, as long as you have received approval by Student Program Services and will complete the pre-requisite courses in Summer 2022. If applicable to you, please choose the appropriate practicum type in this questionnaire from the following options:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE, Grades 1-3)
- Technology in Education (Secondary Grades)
- Indigenous Education (All grades)
Student teachers can expect to receive their PS II/PS III placements in early June.
